Lost Ark is getting furthermulti-gender class options and lower meaning armor

Existing classes and armor will remain, but new options will give players more flexibility in their builds

The big fantasy MMO Lost Ark is a megahit, but it's not without problems, including the fact that its classes are gender-locked Soldiers are men, Magians are women. It's an old- academy approach, and one that does not really hold up presently. Inventor Smilegate is trying to address the situation through the addition of" advanced classes,"which are specializations that enable both manly and womanish characters in individual classes.

Gunner advanced classes, for case, include the artillerist, deadeye, and shooter, which are manly, and the gunslinger, a womanish. The Martial Artist class is balanced the other way Three advanced classes — the wrangler, soulfist, and wardancer — are womanish, while only the striker is manly.
It's far from a perfect result, but Smilegate told Eurogamer that farther advanced classes, with better gender balance, will continue to" roll out over time."

"Classes are tied pretty closely to their character models in terms of function and animation, so bringing opposite gender characters to a class takes more work than just making a differently gendered model available," Amazon Games' franchise lead Soomin Park told the site.

" Still, Smilegate RPG is laboriously working on this; the womanish Berserker is the coming class coming to Korea. While not every class in the game presently has a manly and womanish counterpart available, we made an trouble to include those that do in our launch class lineup. In the future, Smilegate RPG will be creating further counterparts for classes that are still gender locked, and we will bring these to Arkesia in time."

The explanation echoes that of Ubisoft's times- agone reason for not including a playable womanish character in Homicide's Creed Unity, although at least it did not end with a mime and a" sorry,"and also an awkward follow-up statement that does not really address the matter at hand.
Park also said that Smilegate is working to address complaints about Lost Ark's revealing womanish armor sets Being armor pieces will not be changed, but the game's marketing and character creation screen will be acclimated so"the further meaning options will not be frontal and center."New, lower meaning outfits are on the way as well, but Park specified that they will be an addition to the game, not a relief.

"As we're apprehensive of the balance between hardcore suckers who want a Lost Ark experience that's close to the original Korean interpretation and new players who may not like the current armour and costume options, we're adding outfits and druthers to the game rather of taking down options,"Park said.
Lost Ark firstly launched in South Korea in 2019, but did not make its way to the West and Europe until February 2022. It was an immediate megahit and has held up veritably well in the month since, with concurrent player counts remaining in the high six numbers. Unfortunately, that success has come at a cost Lost Ark's Europe Central region suffered from long garçon ranges because of unknown demand, and while Amazon Games snappily launched a new Europe West region to help palliate the cargo, it's unfit to increase the capacity of Europe Central itself.

Fortunately, the recent" ban riffle"seems to have helped free effects up A communication posted in the Lost Ark forums a day after the bans rolled out indicated that EU Central ranges had been dramatically reduced.
